“They Were My Angels.” Father And Son Duo Spring Into Action When Nurse’s Car Crashes.

Pamela Jones was on her way home from seeing a patient when, out of nowhere, she was hit while switching lanes.

The impact caused her car to spin and slam into an embankment. All of her airbags deployed, leaving her trapped and alone. Countless cars passed her on the busy interstate, but none of them were willing to stop.

Except for Mike Lottier and his 15-year-old son, Drew.

As the two of them got closer, they began to understand the severity of the accident. Chunks of debris were everywhere, and the sunroof to the car was shattered. As they got even closer, they started to hear Pamela screaming for help.

While Mike quickly stepped aside to call 911, Drew stayed with Pamela to help her calm down.

“I just couldn’t imagine if I was in that position and no one stopped for me,” Drew said.First responders arrived quickly, and Pamela was able to get the help that she needed. In fact, she’s already totally recovered, something Mike says is a miracle.

Unfortunately, Pamela’s car has seen better days. To help her get a new one, she’s created a GoFundMe where she’s already raised over $3,000 of her $20,000 goal.

“Because I see patients in their homes, my car is basically my rolling office,” she wrote. “I can’t provide care for my patients if I cannot get to them. I am asking for any monetary amount you can afford towards helping me to buy a new car so I can get back to providing care to my many patients.”

Even still, Pamela couldn’t be more grateful for how everything turned out.

Her accident could have ended in a tragedy but, with the help of selfless strangers, she’s alive and well. And while Mike and Drew don’t view themselves as heroes, she doesn’t feel the same way.

“Mike Lottier and his 15-year-old son, they were my angels on this earth, and I am forever grateful to them,” she said. “Our firefighters, our police officers, EMT crews, they are so necessary people don’t know how necessary they are unless they need them. I needed them. They were all there for me, all of them.”
